OUR HISTORY

Our values have been handed down through three generations of the Roberts family, remaining constant throughout our development and company growth.

When Frederick Samuel Roberts ‘Sam’ started selling coal in Bridgwater in the 1930s, he couldn’t have imagined that he was laying the foundations for one of the most successful skip hire, tipper hire and plant hire companies in Somerset.

After Sam passed away his 19 year old son Terry took over, helping Roberts to grow into a thriving business which has successfully diversified into asbestos removals and demolition.

This story provides the seedbed of the Roberts Group which you still see today.

We remain a market leader in the south west, retaining our ‘can do’ attitude which has been with us from the very beginning.

After Terry retired in 2004, his daughters Vicky and Beccy were tasked with ensuring the company’s survival for the 21st century. They’ve responded emphatically.

With the help of a dedicated team of professionals from Somerset, we provide a friendly, professional service dedicated to our customers.

The business is run by a close knit team, that uses its specialist industry and geographical knowledge to advise clients on the best possible waste solutions.
