Sustainability
We’re dedicated to sustainability and are moving towards becoming a carbon neutral company. This includes working on a five-point plan incorporating measuring our carbon emissions and cutting and offsetting them.
We conserve energy through sensible selection, use and management of resources, equipment, plant and transport, and are fastidious in controlling the emission of pollutants, noise and dust.
We have installed solar panels and are moving to a further phase to offset the electricity required for our offices and waste sorting plant.
We operate a paperless skip software programme and are when replacing our vehicles, we will be aiming to introduce electric vans and cars to the fleet.
Our new vehicle replacement plan involves keeping an up to date fleet improving our lorries fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions as well as digital connectivity to our vehicles giving us real time data.
Researching electric lorries and aiming to incorporate these within our vehicle replacement plan when available.
We operate trailers on our waste fleet to allow us to double up on relevant jobs and hence reduce fuel, emissions and the number of journeys made.
We aim to source more fuel efficient ways to heat our premises.
We’re committed to reducing waste, recycling more and increasing the use of recycled and recovered resources, while also using materials/products from sustainable sources.
